Neighbours knowing neighbours is what makes a strong, safe, vibrant community and throughout the year we host a variety of events to bring neighbours together.

Our annual events include a Winter Carnival held each February at Orioles Community Centre, SummerFest held each August that alternates between Orioles and Jacob Penner Park, a Rummage and Book Sale in May, and a Holiday Open House in December. 

We also host a number of small-scale "get to know your neighbour" barbecues where we supply the barbecue and hot dogs. If you are interested in hosting one of these in your yard contact our Safety and Wellness Coordinator.

Our historical walks of some of our residential streets are a great way to get to know the neighbourhood !  For more information about these walks contact our Housing Coordinator.

Other events include a weekly Stress Busters group for those aged 55+, children’s garden parties and a wide variety of workshops. We also participate in the Ellice Street Festival and the Communities March for Peace.
