Safety Barbeques
During the summer of 2011, we hosted seven Community Safety BBQ’s with residents of Daniel McIntyre and St. Matthews. The DMSMCA Safety Coordinator met with over 340 residents who came out to join their neighbours for a hot dog and to learn about the safety resources available in the neighbourhood.
Hosting a Community Safety BBQ is fun and easy! All a host needs to do is provide access to your front yard and distribute invitation handbills to the neighbours on your block. The DMSMCA Safety Coordinator will bring all the food and safety resource material. Invitations handbills and posters will also be provided. Everything for the BBQ is provided to the host and community FREE OF CHARGE!
