Every spring, just after the snow is melted, DMSMCA organizes a spring clean-up with other partners in the neighbourhood.The intention of the clean-up is to bag and dispose of all small garbage that has accumulated over the winter. Residents come to our building pick up supplies and are assigned a block in the neighbourhood to clean (most often their own). We also hand out reporting forms for bulky waste and graffiti removal.

Take Pride Winnipeg graciously supplies us with garbage bags and the City of Winnipeg lends tools like paper pickers, brooms and shovels. The past two clean-ups have been cold and rainy. Let’s hope for better weather and a better turn-out in 2012. Check out our events page for more info on the clean-up date for this year.
